 FSMS Geomatics Scholarship

The Florida Surveying & Mapping Society Geomatics Scholarship is awarded to students who have been accepted to an ABET accredited Surveying, Geomatics, or Geomatics Engineering program at a Florida University. To be considered for this scholarship, candidates must be Majoring in Surveying, Geomatics, or Geomatics Engineering and be a Member of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society.

Florida Surveying & Mapping Society Scholarship

Established in 1968 and devotes its resources to assist deserving students needing financial aid to obtain an education in the field of land surveying and other businesses and professions connected therewith.

Applications are to be submitted to the Executive Director and will be reviewed quarterly at the Board Meeting.

Submissions must be made 2 weeks prior to the quarterly Board Meeting.

 Nobles Scholarship

This scholarship is only available to students enrolled at Tallahassee Community College (TCC) with an emphasis on surveying courses. The applicant must be a student member of FSMS. For more information, contact Heather Mitchell at 850-201-6067 or [email protected]


 University of Florida Scholarships

These scholarships are only available to students enrolled in the UF Geomatics program. Contact the UF School of Forest, Fisheries, and Geomatics Sciences(SFFGS) for more information.

Florida Surveying & Mapping Society Endowed Scholarship
Established in 1990 through the University of Florida Foundation to assist UF students in their Geomatics Program. Funds awarded in the fall and spring semesters.

Carl E. Johnson Memorial Award
Established by the Carl E. Johnson family in the 1970’s and is a full tuition scholarship for students enrolled in the Geomatics Program at UF. Criteria gives priority to students who reside in the Charlotte, Collier, Hendry and Lee counties. Second priority given to students who reside in South Florida. Third priority is statewide.
